Homeschooling in Nanaimo
WELCOME
The Nanaimo Community Home Learners (NCHL) society is a parent-led homeschool family group based out of beautiful Nanaimo, BC. We offer a variety of activities that families can participate in throughout the year, such as our annual Not Back to School Picnic, monthly gym time, Halloween Dance, Winter market, various field trips, crafternoon and board games meet ups, potlucks, park play dates, and more!
PARENT LED
Nanaimo Community Home Learners is as active as our group determines it being, as we are a completely parent-led society. We love it when new families join us to participate in activities, and there is never any pressure to plan events. But you are always welcome to suggest new ideas, or post in our Facebook or Google email group to organize an activity!
LENDING LIBRARY
We have a selection of resources we are happy to lend out to our members that are available for check out during our monthly gym times. Click here for our full lending library resource list.
EVENTS
NCHL events are free for members to participate in. Membership is $25 for the school year, and activities are planned year round. Some field trips do require extra payment, but it is usually small and the group covers the main payment!
Don't want to commit to a membership, or have friends who want to come to one event? Drop in for $5 per family per event!
